Ottawa Fair

The Ottawa County Fair is held every year in the month of July. Interestingly enough the Ottawa County Fair is not held in Ottawa but in Holland Michigan, a beautiful city on the West side of Michigan. Ottawa County fair is a lively festival that has many agricultural events as well as rides, games, and tons of food.

With events like Motorcross and a 4-H livestock auction, there is a down home feeling to the Ottawa County Fair. From a flower show to children’s day, the Ottawa County Fair has something for everyone to see and do there. The Ottawa County fair even has a demolition derby and harness racing for the people who live for excitement at the Ottawa County fair.

Ottawa County fair is one of the states longest running fairs as it has been around for 49 years. Throughout the years, the Ottawa County fair has been featuring one of their signature evens – the Wolverine Futurity which has the top harness racing horses from all around Michigan. The Off-Road shootout is also a popular event at the Ottawa County fair as is the tractor and pickup pull. These events at the Ottawa County fair are great for the children, as well as the adults.

As with all the years, the Ottawa County fair offers special themed days such as “Christmas in July” and ladies day. The Ottawa County fair even has retiree’s day to celebrate the older folks in town. The Ottawa County fair is a real adventure that takes the best of Holland Michigan and shows it off to the entire state.
